Understanding starts with exploring.
Geometry Lab is a free collection of interactive tools for students, teachers, and anyone who learns by trying things. Change a measurement, see the result, and follow the calculation.
How the tools calculate
Calculations run directly in your browser using standard geometry and trigonometry formulas. Displayed values are rounded, while calculations use full numeric precision. Triangle diagrams and two-dimensional shapes reflect the supplied proportions; three-dimensional drawings are illustrative projections.
The triangle solver rejects impossible and degenerate triangles and checks for both solutions in the ambiguous SSA case. Very small differences can still be affected by floating-point precision. Use these tools for learning and check independent requirements before applying results to a real-world design.
Your data
You do not need an account. Calculator inputs are processed on your device and are not sent to an application server. Practice best scores are saved in your browser’s local storage. Clearing browser data removes those scores. Google Analytics measures visits and how the site is used. The hosting provider may process normal access logs, and fonts load from Google Fonts.
Printables
Printable nets are generated as SVG files with millimeter dimensions. Use A4 paper, print at 100%, and check the reference line before relying on the physical measurements.
